Tattoo Removal Has Beef with Smoking

Tattoo Removal Has a Beef with Smoking

Smoking poses a lot of problems for people who want things out of life besides another puff. As we know, smoking causes cancer, heart disease, yellow teeth, permanent odor in fabrics of clothes, cars, and homes, and many other things; however, did you know that smoking affects your skin as well? Well, it does. Your skin becomes looser because the ingredients in the cigarettes decreases blood flow to connective tissues in the skin. It has also been discovered that the ingredients in cigarettes also make the skin more vulnerable to UV light.

Why does this matter for laser tattoo removal ? Well, because of quite a few reasons.

1.Smokers often have less effective results from laser tattoo removal. This is because the skin is not as healthy and so the skin does not respond to the laser as well as healthy skin. See, when the laser penetrates the skin and hits the dermis layer (the layer beneath the top layer, or epidermis), it breaks up the pigment in the ink and then the skin removes the dead ink and moves it to the bloodstream where it is disposed of. If the skin has been harmed by tobacco, then it takes a lot longer for the skin to remove the ink from the dermis layer of skin, if it does at all; sometimes the affected skin is only capable of removing part of the broken up ink. 2.Smoking ages the skin and this poses a problem for laser tattoo removal because older skin does not behave well with the procedure. Older skin is not as adaptive or receptive to change and so it does not want to move the ink from the dermis layer of skin to the bloodstream and so the tattoo tends to take a lot longer for removal.

If you decide to get a tattoo and especially tattoo removal, consider cutting out the cigarettes or at least be aware of their impact on the skin and how that will in exchange impact the tattoo or tattoo removal process. This article is not meant to try and get the world to stop smoking but rather let people know additional impacts of smoking on their bodies and in regards to something not many people realize. Do your research, my friends!

Along with the continuing prosper in tattoo body art, people’s concern about the safety and risks of tattoo practice develops as well. As a result, tattoo artists now have to mix the tattoo ink colors in front of the person who is going to get tattooed, in order to make him have faith in the safety of the whole process.

I saw many tattoo artists making their own tattoo ink, but some turn out to be not practical in use. However, as a tattoo artist, the main concern is to master all the craft and enhance the skills of using tattoo ink, as it has a close relationship with all the work related to outlining and shading to make the tattoo design look more vivid and fantastic.

I don’t mean that those tattoo artists are not familiar with the basic concepts of tattoo ink colors and have less idea of mixing those colors right. Actually, you should distinguish mixing tattoo ink colors from making your own tattoo inks. You can purchase Intenze Tattoo Ink that has pre-mixed ink colors from tattoo ink supplies stores, which contains a kind of white tattoo ink that can be used to mix and lighten other ink colors. With that, tattoo artists are able to create their unique custom shades. That is, when a customer require to have a color shade that is not available in the colors contained in the tattoo ink supplies, the tattoo artist can use this kind of white tattoo ink to mix with other colors to get that, saving all the time and efforts to make their own ink with that needed colors.

As a tattoo artist, he need to understand all the slight differences between the tattoo ink colors and have a good idea of apply various colors harmoniously, so the tattoo design he creates will have proper arrangement of the color shades. Color contrast is a kind of good assistant for him to put the color shades to the right areas.

Without the proper arrangement of the ink colors, no awesome tattoo designs can be created. The color shades are the soul of a tattoo design. Have your tattoo artist got the right tattoo ink colors on your tattoos?

Nowadays, more tattoo ink colors are available in most tattoo ink supply stores, saving the tattoo artists a lot of time to mix the colors.

Megan Fox Bashes Tattoo Haters

I know that I have already done a Megan Fox post on the Wednesday edition of Celebrity Tattoos. But none the less I had to write another post about her because she is bashing critics who claim that her tattoos are trashy. Megan has also stated that she will cover her whole body in tattoos just to spite these critics.

Megan said

-Everyone hates them because they’re closed-minded about tattoos. People who don’t like me, as far as fans go, always talk about how I’m trashy because I have tattoos. I find that insane! This is 2008, not 1950. Tattoos aren’t limited to sailors. I find them beautiful, so I’m going to keep doing it.-

I will admit that I do agree with Megan this isn’t 1950 anymore and regular people including hot Hollywood actress have tattoos and most of the time have more than one. But I will say that her choices in some of her tattoos are a little interesting. That Marilyn Monroe tattoo she has on her arm sticks out like a sore thumb. But her other eight tattoos, in my opinion are not trashy at all. I really believe that it is okay to have a lot of tattoos on your body, as long as you carry yourself well and have confidence in yourself. I think that makes your tattoos become kind of sexy and not trashy at all. There are plenty other celebrities out there that have 5 or 6 tattoos and they are as pretty and sexy as they can be. And not to mention most people don’t even know that they have that many tattoos.

Pros And Cons Of Wrist Tattoos

Wrist tattoos, like all other tattoos go back thousands years ago. A few hundred years ago sailors were the first to have star wrist tattoos. Many sailors were superstitious and the nautical star on their wrist symbolized the North star which was meant to guide them on their journeys and to find the way home. Later on the star wrist tattoo symbolism evolved into a metaphor for finding your way in life. In the 50’s and 60’s of the previous century wrist tattoos were a way of expressing someone was gay or lesbian. Nowadays the wrist tattoo has become mainstream. There is no link any more to being gay or lesbian.

At present wrist tattoos come in all kinds of types. Stars, tribal bands, hearts, butterflies, letters or words in all kinds of languages like Sanskrit, Hebrew, Arabic and so on. The wrist is a cool place to get a tattoo on. Your tattoo will be more in sight than the average tattoo on an upper arm or leg. Because of the location it is important to be absolutely sure about your decision. Below are a few things to keep in mind when deciding to get your wrist inked.

Why the wrist is a cool place to get a tattoo on:
You can easily hide your tattoo by wearing a bracelet or watch. (or long sleeves)
They are in plain sight most of the time so you can show them very easy. This way your wrist tattoo is a means to express yourself with a particular design that fits your personality.
They usually are cheaper to get because they are smaller.
The wrist is an ideal area for a small tattoo. Most other locations on the body demand larger tattoos.
Your tattoo will give you much joy because you can look at it all the time. This is why words like a mantra or motto are great ideas for wrist tattoos. Your inked wrist will inspire you or remind you of something important in your life constantly.

Things to keep in mind when having a wrist tattoo:

They might fade away sooner because the wrist area is liable to influences like the weather. So after a period of time touch ups might be necessary.
It seems getting a tattoo on your wrist is a little more painful then on most other body parts. The skin is close to the bone on the inside of the arm and the wrist tissue isn’t very dense. So in theory getting tattooed on the wrist will be more painful. In fact many people say the pain was the same or even less so it’s just personal.
Because the wrist area is used and exposed a lot the healing of a wrist tattoo will probably take a little longer.
In some situations you’ll need to hide your tattoo, for example when applying for a job.
